For parents and teachers
This game connects tables, direct and inverse proportion, and equations through everyday examples. Each round selects one of 16 situations.
In direct proportion, y ÷ x is constant. In inverse proportion, x × y is constant. Increasing or decreasing values alone do not establish either relationship.
Money problems use Japanese yen (¥). Speed is measured in km/h, and water in liters. The fixed-distance table rounds travel times to two decimal places. The group-work example assumes equal working rates and no extra delays.
