A green rest is one silent beat.
For parents and teachers
Ta-a is one beat and Ta is half a beat; two Ta sounds make one beat. The symbols correspond to a quarter note, an eighth note and a quarter rest. Each four-beat question plays at 100 beats per minute. A session has five random questions. Answering speed is not scored.
Lv1 converts rhythm words to colour symbols, Lv2 converts symbols to notes, and Lv3 uses sound only. Playback uses synthesised percussion-like tones. Rhythm duration is represented by the interval before the next sound; rests are silent. The original playback, question selection and two-second advance are preserved.
